I just have to say my piece about Rude people....

Ok, so I think God was trying to tell me something over the course of this weekend. I came in contact with more rude people than I ever have. It was a wide variety of acts I witnessed. Some directly against me, and some were against other people.

  • On Saturday, I patiently waited in line like everyone else at the Xtreme Clean car wash a few blocks from the house. At this establishment, the have two lanes that eventually merge into one and there is a cute little sign that stats "Please take your turn". I don't know about you, but I pay attention to what order I am in line. One would expect that everyone else pays attention as well. As I begin to merge into the single lane, the guy next to me cuts me off. Not accidentally I might add. He then looks at me and laughs. COME ON! I few bad words were mumbled under my breath. Afterall, Conor was in the car with me. I would have just loved to give the guy a piece of my mind! For the sake of this being a family blog, I won't express my true feelings. P.S if the person who cut in line ahead of me is reading this, I have one thing to say...How would you like it if someone did that to you Mom?
  • Sunday, My Mom, Dad, Conor, and I went to Wal-Mart. Sunday and Wal-Mart should not be in the same sentence, but it is the only day that we all get to spend together. We venture down the baby isle to buy Conor some big boy underwear. Go figure there would only be two packages in his size left. Must be potty training month or something. Back to the story, toward the end of the isle there was a basket in it that had a crib in it. I didn't touch it or anything, I simply reached around it to grab a bottle of hand sanitizer. As I am reaching up on the top shelf, this guy throws a stroller in a box on top of the basket. In doing so, the basket slams into me. WTF? Ok, so I am one to avoid confrontation, especially with strangers. I look at the guy, his wife or whatever is looking at me, I look at my Mom, my Dad is looking at the guy. After we exchange stares, no words, he walks off a mumbles something rude under his breath. I had to quote the serenity prayer, because a lot of inappropriate hateful things were going through my head. I just have to say, THANK GOODNESS Craig was not with me. Otherwise, I would have to sell some stuff to come up with bail money.
  • Sunday - After leaving Wal-Mart, we go to Target. My Mom and I are trying to find a checkout lane. This psycho guy with a basket was trying to get to a register towards the front. Rather than say excuse me, or try another route, he VERY rudely (like he is trying to make a point) moves this lady's basket for her. In the process, he spills her drink. He mumbles sorry and rushes past her, not before giving her the "move B****" look. The husband, who does NOT look friendly, was ready to thrown down in the middle of Target, but he composed himself long enough to get out of there.
  • Sunday - Mom and I are on the way to the Dollar Store on 34th and Slide. I'll be damned if someone didn't run a red light and almost took the front end of my car off. I honked, because I felt like the man needed to know he was wrong. I got a "look", and we all know what look I got. He didn't even brake as he flew through the intersection. GEESH!! Hello, I would appreciated a wave or something.

Needless to say, today Lubbock was full of idiots. They were everywhere. I took my butt home after the last incident and stayed there. I am just taken aback at how rude of a society we have become. What happened to "excuse me"? Why do we have to be some damn mean to eachother? We wonder why kids are so hateful now days....They are watching their parents.

So, on that note I will go to bed. Just remember, a little bit of manners goes a long way.

Blogger is still giving me heck on posting pictures, so I will try again tomorrow...

Peace Out!
